AN ACT to amend the Bills of Sale Act, 1899-1956, the Bills of Sale Amendment Act, 1906, and the

Bills of Sale Act Amendment Act, 1914.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Bills of Sale Act Amendment Act, 1957 and shall be read as one with the principal Act.

(2) In this Act the Bills of Sale Act, 1899, as amended by

Acts 64 Viet., No. 28, 1 and 2 Edw. VII., No. 14, No. 17 of 1905, No. 13 of 1906, No. 40 of 1912, No. 24 of 1914, No. 41 of 1925 and reprinted with amendments to and including No. 41 of 1925 in

the Appendix to the 1925 Sessional Volume of Acts and further amended by Acts No. 8 of 1927, No. 42 of 1932, No. 52 of 1940 and No. 9 of 1956,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Bills of Sale Act, 1899-1957.

2. The principal Act and such of the Acts men- tioned in subsection (2) of section one of this Act as are specified in the Schedule to this Act are amended in the manner indicated in the Schedule and an Act as so amended may be cited showing the figure representing the year of its passing and the figures "-1957".

19. Any person shall be entitled to have an office copy or extract of any bill of sale, and of any affidavit filed under this Act, upon paying for the same at the rate of one shilling for every folio of seventy-two words con- tained in such office copy or extract, or if he make such copy or extract himself the Registrar shall, upon satis- fying himself that such copy or extract is correctly made, certify to the same upon payment of the fee of ten shillings for each bill of sale or extract thereof.

3. Substitute for the words "payment of a fee of five shillings" in line eight of section twenty-one the passage "payment of the fee of ten shillings".
