An Act to repeal certain legislation

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1. Name of Act

   This Act is the Better Regulation (Repeal of Legislation) Act 2025.

2. Commencement

   This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

   NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3. Legislation repealed

   (1)The following legislation is repealed:

   ·     COVID-19 Emergency Response Legislation Amendment Act 2020 (A2020-14)

   ·     COVID-19 Emergency Response Legislation Amendment Act 2021 (A2021-1)

   ·     Drugs in Sport Act 1999 (A1999‑84)

   ·     Hemp Fibre Industry Facilitation Act 2004 (A2004‑48)

   ·     Magistrates Court (Fair Trading Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Infringement Notices) Regulation 2012 (SL2012‑15).

   (2)The following notifiable instruments made under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2012, section 11 are repealed:
