BEEKEEPERS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (No. 2) 1997
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Beekeepers Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 1997.
Principal regulations
2. In these regulations the Beekeepers Regulations 1963* are referred to as
the principal regulations.

Regulation 10 repealed and a regulation substituted
3. Regulation 10 of the principal regulations is repealed and the following
regulation is substituted -

Notification by person who ceases to be a beekeeper
10. (1) A person shall, on ceasing to be a beekeeper, notify the Director General that he is no longer a beekeeper and forfeit the brand issued to him.
made in the form of Form 4A in the Second Schedule. (2) Notification that a person has ceased to be a beekeeper shall be Second Schedule amended
4. (1) The Second Schedule to the principal regulations is amended by
deleting Form 1 and substituting the following form -

NOTES
1. A person who owns, or has the charge, care or possession of, bees or any hive that contains, or has contained, bees is a "beekeeper", and is required, within 14 days after becoming a "beekeeper", to apply to be registered as such (Beekeepers Act 1963, section 8).
2. This form should be completed and sent with the appropriate application/renewal fee to
AGRICULTURE WESTERN AUSTRALIA, BARON-HAY COURT, SOUTH PERTH, 6151.
3. On receipt of this completed form and the appropriate application/renewal fee you will
be issued with -
(a) a Certificate of Registration as a beekeeper (if this is an initial registration); or (b)
a receipt showing that the original certificate has been renewed (if this is an application for renewal of registration).
18 November 1997] GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 6473. 4. If you have ceased to be a beekeeper, you should notify the Director General using Form 4A (Notification that a Person has Ceased to be a Beekeeper) and forfeit your brand accordingly.
(2) The Second Schedule to the principal regulations is amended by
inserting after Form 4 the following form —
