Beef Production Levy Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, being advice that has, in accordance with subsections 8 (2) and 8 (3) of the Beef Production Levy Act 1990,taken into consideration the recommendations with respect to the amounts for the purposes of paragraphs 6 (1) (a) and 6 (1) (b) of the Act (respectively), made to the Minister by the Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation and the Meat Research Corporation (respectively), make the following Regulations under the Act.

1. Commencement

1.1 These Regulations commence on 1 March 1993.

2. Amendment

2.1 The Beef Production Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3. Regulation 4 (Prescribed amount for the purposes of section 6 of the Act)

3.1 Omit the regulation, substitute:

“4. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (a) of the Act, $0.0186 is prescribed.

“(2) For the purposes of paragraph 6 (1) (b) of the Act, $0.0052 is prescribed.”.
