No. 6 of 1972.

AN ACT to amend the Bee Industry Compensation

Act, 1953-1963.

[Assented to 8th May, 1972.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Bee Industry

and citation.

Compensation Act Amendment Act, 1972.

(2) In this Act the Bee Industry Compensation

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Bee Industry Compensation Act,

1953-1972.

amended.

2. Section 9 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by substituting for the passage, "9. For" in line one, the passage, "9. (1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, for" ;

(b)

by substituting for the word, "five" in line five, the word, "twenty-five" ; and

(c)

by adding a subsection as follows

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, the minimum amount payable by way of license fee under this section shall be the amount of one dollar. .

3. Subsection (1) of section 10 of the principal

Act is amended

(a)

by substituting for the words, "each year" in line one, the passage, "the year 1972, and in each fifth year thereafter," ; and

(b)

by substituting for the words, "next follow- ing twelve months" in lines three and four, the passage, "period of five years commenc- ing on the first day of January in the year immediately succeeding that in which the notice is published,".

amended. 4. Subsection (1) of section 11 of the principal

Act is amended by substituting for the word, "six" in line five, the word "thirty".
