No. 29 of 1920.

AN ACT to enable the Bayswater Road Board to borrow

money for the payment of Compensation in respect of

certain Drainage Works in the Bayswater Road District.

[Assented to 31st December, 1920.]

Counoil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia,

BE it enacted by the Eines Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority

of the same, as follows :—

1.    This Act may be cited as the Bayswater Drainage Short title.

Works Act, 1920.

under and subject to Part VII. of the Road Districts Act, borrow.

2.

It shall be lawful for the Bayswater Road Board, Power to

1919, to borrow such sum of money as may be necessary and the Minister may approve, to enable the Board to pay to the owners and occupiers of land within the Bayswater Road District such compensation and costs as may be or become due to them in respect of the damage sustained by them through the construction by the said Board of certain drainage worlKs known as the Lawrence Street drain ; and to defray the costs incurred by the said Board in the legal proceedings relating to such drains.
