Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (Staff) By-laws 2001
By-laws under the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Act 1999
These By-laws may be cited as the
The Council may determine terms and conditions of employment of staff of the Institute in relation to:
(a) appointment, promotion and dismissal;
(b) salary progression;
(c) paid and unpaid leave;
(d) entitlement to, and payment of, allowances;
(e) recruitment and transfer expenses;
(f) conditions applying to employees in remote locations; and
(g) other matters pertaining to employment.
The Council may make rules in accordance with the
(a) matters relating to staff discipline and disciplinary procedures;
(b) paid employment additional to duties as a member of the staff of the Institute;
(c) membership of prescribed employee organisations; and
(d) other matters pertaining to members of staff and necessary for the carrying into effect of the Act or By-laws.
