AN ACT to amend the Bastardy. Laws Act,

1875.

[Assented to, :27th October, tg96.]

by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and 1875, be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parlia- ment assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— -WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Bastardy Laws Act, Preamble.

1. THIS Act may be cited as the Bastardy Laws Act, 1875, Short Title.

2. SECTION five of the Bastardy Laws Act, 1875, is hereby

amended by striking out, in the fifteenth line of the said Section, the

5 of 39 Vie., No. 8.

words " Five shillings," and substituting in the place thereof the

words " Twelve shillings and sixpence."
