1  Name

This instrument is the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery (Fishing Season) Determination 2022.

2  Commencement

  This instrument commences on 12 July 2022.

3  Cessation

This instrument ceases on 1 January 2023.

4  Authority

This instrument is made under paragraph 17(6)(aa) of the Act for the purpose of section 3 of the Management Plan.

5  Definitions

(1) In this instrument:

Act means the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

Management Plan means Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan 2002.

(2) Any term used in this instrument that is defined for the purpose of the Management Plan has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in the Management Plan.

Note:          Terms defined in the Act have the same meanings in this instrument.

6  Determination of fishing season

The fishing season in the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery is determined to be the period commencing 12 July 2022 and ending 31 December 2022.
