1  Name

This instrument is the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery (Fishing Season) Determination 2020.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 12 July 2020.

3  Revocation

This instrument is revoked on 1 January 2021.

4 Authority

This instrument is made under parargraph 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 for the purpose of subsection 3.1 of the Bass Strait Central Zone Scalllop Fishery Management Plan 2002 (the Plan).

5  Definitions

  A term used in this instrument that is defined for the purposes of the Plan has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in that Plan.

Note:          Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this instrument.

6  Determination of fishing season

The fishing season in the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery is determined to be the period commencing 12 July 2020 and ending on 31 December 2020.
