A council may, acting under the power conferred by S. 317B of the Local Government Act 1919-1951 (N.S.W.), order the demolition of a dilapidated or unsightly building simpliciter and need not, in such order, give the owner the alternative of re-erecting the building or otherwise putting it into a state MELBOURNE, of repair and good condition to the satisfaction of the council.
