Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Banks (Shareholdings) Act 1972.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s.48]

2.   Schedule (Banks and persons specified for purposes of regulations 3 and 4)

2.1   Item 2:

Omit the item, substitute:

“2	The Chase Manhattan Bank Australia Limited	Chase Manhattan Holdings (Australia) Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United States of America
Chase Manhattan Overseas Banking Corporation, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United States of America
The Chase Manhattan Bank N. A., being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United States of America
The Chase Manhattan Corporation, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United States of America”.
