Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Banks (Shareholdings) Act 1972.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE:

 These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   The Schedule (Banks and persons specified for purposes of regulations 3 and 4)

2.1   Item 2AC:

Omit the item, substitute:

“2AC HongkongBank of Australia Limited HSBC Holdings Plc, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom HSBC Holdings BV, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in The Netherlands The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in Hong Kong Hongkong Australia Holdings Pty Limited”.
