Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Banks (Shareholdings) Act 1972.

1.   Commencement

1.1 These Regulations commence on 22 June 1995.

 

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Schedule (Banks and persons specified for purposes of regulations 3 and 4)

3.1   Items 1AAC to 1A:

Omit the items, substitute:

“1AAC	Bank of Singapore (Australia) Limited	Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in Singapore
1AAD	Bank of South Australia Limited	State of South Australia
1A	Bank of Tokyo Australia Limited	The Bank of Tokyo, Ltd., being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in Japan”.
