Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Banks (Shareholdings) Act 1972.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Schedule (Banks and persons specified for the purposes of regulations 3 and 4)

2.1   Item 25:

Omit the item, substitute:

“25	Standard Chartered Bank Australia Limited	Stanchart Nominees Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom
Standard Chartered Bank, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom
Standard Chartered Holdings (International) BV, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the Netherlands
Standard Chartered Holdings Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom
Standard Chartered Investments Pty. Limited
Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Overseas Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom
Standard Chartered Nominees Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom
Standard Chartered Overseas Holdings Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom
Standard Chartered PLC, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in the United Kingdom”.
