Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Banks (Shareholdings) Act 1972.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 April 1996.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Banks (Shareholdings) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Schedule (Banks and persons specified for purposes of regulations 3 and 4)

3.1   Item 6:

Omit the item, substitute:

“6 Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi (Australia) Limited Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi Limited, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in Japan”.

3.2   Item 19:

Omit the item, substitute:

“19 Mitsubishi Bank of Australia Limited The Mitsubishi Bank, Ltd, being the corporation formed or incorporated under that name in Japan   Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi (Australia) Limited”.
