Bankruptcy Rules (Amendment) (Cth)
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Rules under the
Dated 21 February 1984.

“to payment—
(d) by the person on whose behalf he is summoned to give evidence or at whose request he attends; and
(e) whether or not he is called to give evidence,
of such fees, and allowances for expenses in respect of his attendance, in accordance with the items relating to witnesses’ expenses in the Second Schedule to the Federal Court Rules as in force from time to time, as are fixed by the Court or, where he was summoned to appear before the Registrar, by the Registrar.”.
2. Rule 162 of the Bankruptcy Rules is amended—(a) by omitting from sub-rule (2) “$540” and substituting “$675”;
(b) by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) “$48” and substituting “$60”; and
(c) by omitting from paragraph (2) (b) “$54” and substituting “$68”.
3. Schedule 2 to the Bankruptcy Rules is repealed.

(2) The provisions of sub-rule 162 (2) of the Bankruptcy Rules as in force immediately before the commencement of these Rules apply in relation to proceedings instituted before the commencement of these Rules as if the amendments made by rule 2 had not been made.
(3) The provisions of Schedule 3 to the Bankruptcy Rules as in force immediately before the commencement of these Rules apply in relation to work done before the commencement of these Rules as if the amendment made by rule 4 had not been made.
