Bankruptcy Rules2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Rules under the Bankruptcy Act 1966.

Commencement

1. These Rules shall come into operation on 1 May 1986.

Scale of costs

2. Rule 162 of the Bankruptcy Rules is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-rule (2) “$675” and substituting “$800”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) “$60” and substituting “$71”; and

(c) by omitting from paragraph (2) (b) “$68” and substituting “$80”.

3.Schedule 3 to the Bankruptcy Rules is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:

4. (1) The provisions of sub-rule 162 (2) of the Bankruptcy Rules as in force immediately before the commencement of these Rules apply in relation to proceedings instituted before the commencement of these Rules as if the amendments made by rule 2 had not been made.

(2) The provisions of Schedule 3 to the Bankruptcy Rules as in force immediately before the commencement of these Rules apply in relation to work done before the commencement of these Rules as if the amendment made by rule 3 had not been made.
