I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Banking Act 1959.

1. Amendment

The Banking (Foreign Exchange) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

 

2. New regulation 39A

2.1 After regulation 39, insert:

Directions by Treasurer

“39A. In giving directions under regulations 38 and 39, the Treasurer is to take into account Australia’s relations with other countries and its obligations under international law.”.
