An Act to amend

The Banking Companies Act.''

[Assented to, 22nd September, 1875.1

W HEREAS by "The Banking Companies Act," being No, 25 f im&le+

of 1863, certain abstracts are required to be made half-yearly by all banking companies, firms, and individual bankers, carrying on business in South Australia, and it is expedient that such abstracts should be made quarterly in future-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

an abstract prepared and verified in the manner by the said Act

prescribed, on the last Monday of each quarter ending on the thirty- first day of March, the thirtieth day of June, the thirtieth day of September, and the thirty-first day of December, respectively, in every year; the said Act shall hereafter be read and construed throughout as if such abstracts were thereby required to be prepared quarterly instead of half-yearly, and of the quarter's business instead of that of the half-year, and such alterations being made therein as

are thus required, the said Act shall remain in full force and virtue.

2. This Act may be cited for all purposes as " The Banking Shorttitle, and Companies Amendment Act, 1875," and shall be incorporated and incorporation. read together with '' The Banking Companies Act," as one Act,
