Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Balgowan Zoning Regulations, 1988.

Interpretation

2. In these regulations—

"controlled area" means the following areas:

(a) that portion of the sea at Balgowan that is approximately in the position shown on the map contained in Schedule 1 and is bounded as follows:

On the north-west by an imaginary straight line joining Point Warrenne with a point being the intersection of the high water mark and the prolongation seaward of the northern boundary of section 286, Hundred of Kilkerran;

On the south and east by the high water mark; and

(b) that portion of the sea at Balgowan that is approximately in the position shown on the map contained in Schedule 2 and is bounded as follows:

On the west by an imaginary straight line joining Point Warrenne with a point being 100 metres west of the high water mark on the prolongation seaward of the southern boundary of Welfare Road, Township of Balgowan, Hundred of Kilkerran;

On the south by an imaginary straight line commencing at high water mark and extending seaward for 100 metres along the prolongation of the southern boundary of Welfare Road, Township of Balgowan, Hundred of Kilkerran;

On the east by the high water mark.

Speed limit in controlled area

3. A person must not, in the controlled area—

(a)	operate a vessel at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour;
(b)	engage in water skiing, or aquaplaning, or be towed in any other manner, at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour.

Penalty: Division 10 fine.
