BAINES
v
THE KING
[2024] HCASL 241
S62/2024
The applicant requires an extension of time within which to seek special leave to appeal from the order of the Court of Criminal Appeal of New South Wales (Simpson A-JA and McNaughton J agreeing, Dhanji J dissenting) made on 29 November 2023 dismissing an appeal against conviction for murder.
The proposed appeal raises no point of general principle and has insufficient prospects of success to warrant a grant of special leave to appeal. It would therefore be futile to grant an extension of time.
Special leave to appeal is refused.
