Union" known as the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU)

(R2014/117)

MR ENRIGHT MELBOURNE, 19 AUGUST 2014
Alteration of other rules of organisation.

[1] On 13 May 2014, the "Automotive, Food, Metals, Engineering, Printing and Kindred Industries Union" known as the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) lodged with the Fair Work Commission a notice and declaration setting out particulars of alterations to the rules of the AMWU.

[2]        The particulars set out alterations to rules 4, 52 and 53 of the rules of the AMWU.

[3] On 13 August 2014, the Fair Work Commission wrote the AMWU seeking confirmation that the Food and Confectionery Division National Conference had approved the alterations subsequent to them being made by the National Conference in accordance with rule 6.1A of the rules of the AMWU. On 15 August 2014, the AMWU filed a further declaration made by Mr Paul Bastian, National Secretary of the AMWU, on 14 August 2014 which confirmed that the Food and Confectionery Division National Conference validly approved the alterations by a majority vote on 13 May 2014.

[4] On the information contained in the notice, I am satisfied the alterations have been made under the rules of the organisation.

[5] In my opinion, the alterations comply with and are not contrary to the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009, the Fair Work Act 2009, modern awards and enterprise

agreements, and are not otherwise contrary to law. I certify accordingly under subsection
