1    Name

This instrument is the Automatic Mutual Recognition (Australian Capital Territory) (Notification Requirement—Architect) Determination 2021.

2    Commencement

(1)    Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

At the same time as the Mutual Recognition Amendment Act 2021 of the Commonwealth commences.

This instrument is made under subsection 42J(4) of the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 of the Commonwealth.

In this instrument:

Requirement—Architect) Determination 2021

Act means the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 of the Commonwealth.

covered activity means an activity mentioned in the Architects Act 2004 of the Australian Capital Territory authorised to be carried on under a registration under that Act.

local registration authority means the Australian Capital Territory Architects Board established under the Architects Act 2004 of the Australian Capital Territory.

6    Notification requirement

For subsection 42J(4) of the Act, a person intending to carry on a covered activity in the Australian Capital Territory must notify the local registration authority before the person begins to carry on the activity.
