Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and having taken into consideration the recommendation with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of subsection 79 (3) of the Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation Act 1993 made to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy by the Wool Council of Australia, make the following Regulations under that Act.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 5 (Contribution to costs of exotic animal disease control)

2.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Contributions to costs of Australian Animal Health Council

 “5.(1)For the purposes of subsection 79 (3) of the Act, the total amount of contributions in respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 1996 is $141,898.

 “(2)For the purposes of subsection 79 (3) of the Act, the total amount of contributions in respect of the financial year ending on 30 June 1997 is $164,422.”.
