Australian Wool Realisation Commission (Transitional Payments Arrangements) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Wool Realisation Commission Act 1991 and the Australian Wool Corporation Act 1991.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 1 July 1991.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Australian Wool Realisation Commission (Transitional Payments Arrangements) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   New regulation 5

3.1   Add at the end:

Transfer of funds to Australian Wool Corporation and Wool Research and Development Corporation to cover staff entitlements

“5.

(1)  The Commission may transfer to the Corporation any funds agreed between the Commission and the Corporation to assist the Corporation in providing for leave entitlements of eligible persons.

“(2)

The Commission may transfer to the R&D Corporation any funds agreed between the Commission and the R&D Corporation to assist the R&D Corporation in providing for leave entitlements of transferred employees.

“(3)

In this regulation:

eligible person’ means a person to whom section 72 of the Australian Wool Corporation Act 1991 applies;

leave entitlements’, in relation to a person, means the entitlements, calculated at the beginning of 1 July 1991, of the person to recreation leave and long service leave;

R&D Corporation’ means the Wool Research and Development Corporation;

transferred employee’ has the meaning it has in subsection 87 (4) of the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.”.
