Australian Wool Industry Council Regulations
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under section 4 of
the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, make the following Regulations under
the Australian Wool Industry Council Act 1991.

Citation
1.These
Regulations may be cited as the Australian Wool Industry Council Regulations.
Commencement
2.These
Regulations commence on 1
July 1991.
Interpretation
3.In these
Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:
“the Act” means the Australian
Wool Industry Council Act 1991.
Industry review conferences
4. (1)For the
purposes of subsections 10 (2) and (3) of the Act, the Council must
convene industry review conferences.
(2)The first industry review conference is to
be convened before 1 April
1992.
(3)Each subsequent industry review conference
must be convened by the Council no later than 3 years after the preceding
industry review conference is convened.
Conferences of chairpersons of wool industry statutory
bodies
5. (1)For the
purposes of subsections 11 (2) and (3) of the Act, the Chairperson must
convene, in each month, a conference of chairpersons of bodies established by
other Acts and having functions in relation to the wool industry.
(2)The first conference of chairpersons of
bodies established by other Acts and having functions in relation to the wool
industry is to be convened before 16 August 1991.
Meetings of the Council
6. (1) For the purposes of paragraph
25 (2) (b) of the Act, the Chairperson must convene a meeting of the
Council on receipt of a written request signed by 7 members of the Council.
(2)After the first meeting of the Council,
the Chairperson must convene subsequent meetings of the Council at intervals
not exceeding 3 months.
