REGULATIONS UNDER THE WOOL USE
PROMOTION ACT 1945.*
I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the
Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive
Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Wool Use Promotion
Act 1945.

Amendments
of the Australian Wool Board Regulations.
1. Regulation 3 of the
Australian Wool Board Regulations is repealed and the following regulation
inserted in its stead:—
Fees
of Chairman and members.
“3.
Subject to section 11 of the Act, the Chairman of the Board shall be entitled
to receive a fee of Six pounds six shillings, and a member, while acting as
such, shall be entitled to receive a fee of Five pounds five shillings, for
each day upon which he attends a meeting of the Board or a Committee of the
Board, or upon which he is engaged, with the approval of the Minister, on
business of the Board in Australia.”.
Travelling
expenses.
2. Regulation 4 of the
Australian Wool Board Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation
(1.) the words “Two pounds two shillings” and inserting in their stead the
words “Two pounds ten shillings”.
Salaries
of officers.
3. Regulation 8 of the
Australian Wool Board Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1.)
and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—
“(1.) An officer who
occupies an office specified in the Schedule to these Regulations shall,
subject to this regulation, be paid the minimum salary specified opposite to
that office, or, where a maximum salary is also so specified, such higher
salary (not exceeding that maximum salary) as the Board determines.”.

(i) An allowance at the rate of Thirty-six pounds per annum shall
be paid to an officer under 21 years of age subject to the passing of such
tests as the Minister approves

(ii) Advancement beyond Two hundred and seventy pounds per annum
shall be subject to the passing of such tests as the Minister approves
|
(iii) A minimum adult salary of Two hundred and fifty-eight
pounds per annum shall be paid subject to the passing of the tests referred
to in the last preceding paragraph with advancement to two hundred and
ninety-four pounds per annum twelve months thereafter

Commencement.
5.—(1.) Regulation 1 of
these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day
of July, 1950.
(2.)
Regulation 2 of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation
on the first day of June, 1951.
(3.)
Regulation 4 of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation
on the twenty-ninth day of December, 1949.
