Australian War Memorial Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian War Memorial Act 1980.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Australian War Memorial Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 5 (Security officers)

2.1   Subregulation 5 (2):

Omit “the Schedule,”, substitute “Schedule 1,”.

3.   Regulation 8A (Entry charge to the Treloar Centre)

3.1   Paragraph 8A (2) (c):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

  • “(c)

    a person who is invited to enter the exhibition areas without charge by:

    • (i)

      the Director; or

    • (ii)

      a member of the staff of the Memorial occupying a position specified in column 2 of an item in Schedule 2;”.

4.   Schedule (Identity certificate)

4.1   Schedule:

Omit “Schedule”, substitute “Schedule 1”.

5.   New Schedule 2

5.1   After Schedule 1, add:

Schedule 2 Paragraph 8A(2)(c)

FREE ENTRY TO EXHIBITION AREAS—SPECIFIED STAFF POSITIONS
