Australian Securities Commission Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Securities Commission Act 1989.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Australian Securities Commission Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   New regulation 8A

2.1   After regulation 8, insert:

Commission may disclose confidential information to certain bodies corporate

“8A.

The bodies corporate listed in Schedule 3 are specified for the purposes of subsection 127 (4C) of the Act.”.

3.   New Schedule 3

3.1   After Schedule 2, add:

“SCHEDULE 3 Regulation 8A

BODIES CORPORATE TO WHICH INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED

ASX Futures Exchange Pty Ltd

ASX Settlement and Transfer Corporation Pty Ltd

Australian Stock Exchange Limited

Options Clearing House Pty Limited

Sydney Futures Exchange Clearing House Pty Limited

Sydney Futures Exchange Limited”.
