  1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Amendment Regulations 2010 (No. 4).

  1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on 1 January 2011.

  1. Amendment of Australian Securities and Investments Commission Regulations 2001

Schedule 1 amends the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Regulations 2001.

2EPrescribed requirements for definition of assert a right to payment

For paragraph 12BEA (1) (e) of the Act, the following requirements are prescribed:

(a)the statement must include the text ‘This is not a bill. You are not required to pay any money.’;

(b)the text must be the most prominent text in the document.

2FPrescribed requirements for warning statements

For paragraphs 12DM (1AA) (b) and 12DMB (2) (b) of the Act, the following requirements are prescribed:

(a)the warning statement must include the text ‘This is not a bill. You are not required to pay any money.’; and

(b)the text must be the most prominent text in the document.
