Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

( A M E N D M E N T ) O R D I N A N C E 1980

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Australian National University

(Leases) (Amendment) Ordinance 1980.1

Principal Ordinance

2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Australian

National University (Leases) Ordinance 1967.2

Commencement

3. This Ordinance shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 July

1980.

4. Section 6 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the following

section substituted:
Exemption from rates
"6. Rates are not payable under the Rates Ordinance 1926 in respect of
land of which a lease is granted under, or is continued in force by, this
