AUSTKALIAN MUSEUM (AMEND­

MENT) ACT.

Act No. 5, 1936.

, An Act to make further provision relating to officers and servants of the Australian Museum; to amend the Australian Museum (Amendment) Act, 1931, and certain other Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 9th April, 1936.]

BE it enacted b y t h e King 's Most Excellent Majesty, lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South b y and with t h e advice and consent of t h e Legis­	Wales in Par l iament assembled, and by the au thor i ty of
the same, as follows :—

1.     This Act m a y be cited as the " Aus t r a l i an Museum

(Amendment ) Act, 1936."

2.     The Aus t r a l i an Museum Act, 1902, as amended by

subsequent Acts and this Act, m a y be cited as the

Aus t r a l i an Museum Act, 1902-1936.

3. (1) The Aus t r a l i an Museum (Amendment ) Act,

1931, is amended—

(a)	by omitting from subsection one of section two the words " Such officers and se rvan ts shall be appoin ted unde r and be subject to " and by inse r t ing in lieu thereof the words ' ' Officers and se rvan ts shall be appoin ted or employed under and be subject to all
(b)	by inserting next after subsection two of the same section the following new subsect ions:—

Publ ic Service Act, 1902. (4)

(3) Any such officer or se rvan t shall have and enjoy the same r igh t s and pr ivi leges , if any, wi th r e g a r d to superannua t ion contr ibut ions and paymen t s as if he had continued a n officer or se rvan t of the Museum, and for th is purpose service a s an officer or se rvan t of the Museum shall count a s continuous service under the

(4) Service as an officer and/or servant of the Trustees of the Museum shall count as service for the purposes of section thirteen of the Public Service (Amendment) Act, 1919.

(5) No such officer or servant shall be entitled to claim benefits under the Public Service Act, 1902, as well as under any other Act in respect of the same period of service.

(2) The amendments made by subsection one of this section shall be deemed to have commenced upon the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.
