1923. No. 68.

REG"ULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1918, to come into operation forthwith.

Australian Military Regulations, 1916.

Amendments.

A. The following regulation is inserted next after Regulation 218:—

“218a. Each year on the morning of Armistice Day, 11th November, at 11 o’clock, all troops are to stand at attention for two minutes, and all guards are to turn out and present arms”.

B. Regulation 224 is amended by deleting the words “Middle Head Fort” and substituting the words “George’s Heights”.

C. Regulation 225 is amended by deleting the words “South Head” and substituting the words “George’s Heights”.

D. Regulation 798 Sub-regulation (2) is repealed, and the following substituted therefor:—

“(2) Commanding Officers or their representatives will issue such notices half-yearly. Half-yearly programmes will be submitted to formation &c., commanders for approval ”.

E. Regulation 1209. Sub-regulation (2) is repealed and the following substituted thereof :—

“(2) Commanding Officers will issue half-yearly programmes of times and dates of drills, distributing drills as nearly as practicable throughout the year. Half-yearly programmes will be submitted to formaiton &c., commanders for approval”.
