REGULATION UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1918, to come into operation forthwith.

The Australia Military Regulations 1916.

Amendment.

Regulation 76 is repealed, and the following regulation made in lieu thereof:—

“76. (1) Except as prescribed by this regulation officers who are liable for training under Part XII. of the Act are required to serve as officers for a period of twelve years in order that service as an officer may be reckoned in lieu of the training required under that Part.

(2) In special cases approved bythe Military Board less than twelve years’ service as an officer may be reckoned in lieu of the training required under Part XII. ofthe Act: provided that in every such case the officer’s total service is equal in duration to the period of training required under that Part.”
