1  Name

This instrument is the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Legislation Amendment (Export of Sheep by Sea to Middle East) Order 2020.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under section 17 of the Australian Meat and Live‑stock Industry Act 1997.

Australian Meat and Live‑stock Industry (Export of Sheep by Sea to Middle East) Order 2018

1  Subsection 6(3)

Repeal the subsection, substitute:

(3)  To avoid doubt, this instrument does not permit the export of a consignment of sheep if the export of the consignment is prohibited by the Australian Meat and Live‑stock Industry (Prohibition of Export of Sheep by Sea to Middle East—Northern Summer) Order 2020.
