1Name of Regulations

 These Regulations are the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 1).

2Commencement

 These Regulations commence on gazettal.

3Amendment of Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Regulations 1998

Schedule 1 amends the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Regulations 1998.

[1]Regulation 3, definition of quota year

substitute

quota year means:

  • (a)

    for sheepmeat and goatmeat exports to the European Union — 1 January to 31 December; or

 (b) for high quality beef exports to the European Union — 1 July to 30 June; or

  • (c)

    for beef exports to the United States of America — 1 January to 31 December.
