Short title 


  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Australian Meat and Live-stock
Corporation Regulations.*1*

AUSTRALIAN MEAT AND LIVE-STOCK CORPORATION REGULATIONS - REG 2 
Interpretation 


  2. In these Regulations, "the Act" means the Australian Meat and Live-stock
Corporation Act 1977.

AUSTRALIAN MEAT AND LIVE-STOCK CORPORATION REGULATIONS - REG 3 
Prescribed schemes: subsection 8 (3A) of the Act 


  3. For the purposes of subsection 8 (3A) of the Act, each of the following
schemes is a prescribed scheme for the marketing of meat or live-stock:

  (a) AUS-MEAT, a scheme operated by the Authority for Uniform Specification
Meat and Livestock, a committee appointed under section 16 of the Act;

  (b) CALM, a computer aided livestock marketing scheme operated by the CALM
Services Board, a committee appointed under that section.

Bodies prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 10 (2) (b) of the Act 
to be eligible industry bodies 


  4. For the purposes of paragraph 10 (2) (b) of the Act, each of the
following bodies is an eligible industry body:

  (a) Meat and Allied Trades Federation of Australia;

  (b) Australian Livestock Exporters' Association;

  (c) Goat Industry Council of Australia.

Prescribed amount for the purposes of subsection 34A (1) of the Act 


  5. For the purposes of subsection 34A (1) of the Act, the amount of $278,165
is prescribed.
