Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting:

  • (a)

    with the advice of the Federal Executive Council; and

  • (b)

    after taking into consideration the recommendation with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of subsection 34a (1) of theAustralian Meat and Live-stock Corporation Act 1977 that was made to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy by the members of the Exotic Animal Disease Preparedness Consultative Council (being the Council established under the Exotic Animal Disease Control Act 1989) who were nominated by the National Farmers’ Federation;

make the following Regulations under the Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation Act 1977.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1993.

2.    Amendment

2.1   The Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.    Regulation 5  (Prescribed amount for the purposes of subsection 34a (1) of the Act)

3.1   Omit “$254,265”, substitute “$266,356”.
