Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 16 March 2016 the Australian Licenced Aircraft Engineers Association (the

Association) lodged with the Fair Work Commission the prescribed information in relation to

an election for the following offices created as a consequence of an alteration of the

Association’s rules on 11 March 2016:

Federal Executive Councillor – Helicopter sector (1)

Federal Executive Councillor – Virgin Australia or its Maintenance and Repair

Organisation provider (1)

[2]        On the same day the Association lodged the prescribed information in relation to an

election for a casual vacancy in the following office:

Federal Executive Councillor – Qantas Airways (1)

[3]        On the same day the Association also lodged the prescribed information in relation to

an election for the following office, due to insufficient nominations received in two previous

elections (E2014/53 & E2014/245):

Federal Executive Councillor – Regional Airlines (1)

[4]         I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
