MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 39 of the Australian Jockey and Sydney Turf Clubs Merger Act 2010, make the following Proclamation. Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to repeal the Australian Jockey Club Act 2008 and the Sydney Turf Club Act 1943 as the Australian Jockey Club and the Sydney Turf Club have merged into a new racing club.

1      Name of Proclamation

This Proclamation is the Australian Jockey and Sydney Turf Clubs
Merger (Repeal) Proclamation 2011.

2      Commencement

This Proclamation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3      Repeal of Acts

The Australian Jockey Club Act 2008 and the Sydney Turf Club Act
1943 are repealed.
