Australian Institute of Marine Science Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Institute of Marine Science Act 1972.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 January 1993.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Australian Institute of Marine Science Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 3 (Interpretation)

3.1   Definition of “acting Chairman”:

Omit the definition.

4.   Regulation 4 (Remuneration)

4.1   Omit the regulation.

5.   Regulation 5 (Travelling and other allowances)

5.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Allowances payable to the Director

“5.

For the purposes of subsection 24 (2) of the Act, the allowances, other than travelling allowance, payable to the Director are the same as the allowances that are payable to an officer of the Senior Executive Service in the Australian Public Service.”.
