Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1] On 1 October 2013 the South Australia Branch of The Australian Institute of Marine and Power Engineers lodged with the Fair Work Commission prescribed information in relation to an election for the following office, which was unfilled in previous election E2012/377:

[2] On 8 October 2013, the Fair Work Commission wrote to the South Australia Branch of the abovenamed organisation, stating that the lodged prescribed information had been unsigned, that it had not provided dates for when nominations open, and that if the prescribed information had not been lodged before the prescribed day, a request for an extension of time would be required. The correspondence also requested confirmation that the prescribed information had been lodged by an authorised officer, which on this occasion was the Branch Secretary.

[3] On 6 November 2013 the South Australia Branch of the abovenamed organisation confirmed in writing that there had been a change in the office of the Branch Secretary.

[4] On 22 November 2013, the Fair Work Commission again wrote to the South Australia Branch of the abovenamed organisation requesting amended prescribed information as outlined in the letter which had been sent on 8 October 2013.

[5] On 26 November 2013, the South Australia Branch of the abovenamed organisation lodged amended prescribed information and also requested an extension of time to lodge the prescribed information. I allow a later day up to the date of 26 November 2013, and grant the extension requested.

[6] I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed office is required to be held under the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
