I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Information Commissioner Act 2010.

Part 1                      Preliminary

  1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Australian Information Commissioner Regulations 2011.

  1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

  1. Definition

In these Regulations:

Act means the Australian Information Commissioner Act 2010.

Part 2                      Information Advisory Committee

  1. Travel allowance — within Australia

For subsection 27 (3) of the Act, the travel allowance payable to an appointed member is:

(a)the amount that would be payable to the member if clause 3.3 of the Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2004/03 applied; or

(b)the amount that would be payable to the member if clause 3.4 of the Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2004/03 applied, at the tier 2 rate.
