Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 22 December 2015 the New South Wales Branch (the Branch) of the Australian

Hotels Association (the organisation) lodged with the Fair Work Commission (the

Commission) the prescribed information in relation to an election.

[2]        On 4 January 2016 the Commission contacted the organisation and requested amended

prescribed information, signed by an officer of the Branch.

[3]        On 11 January 2016 the Branch lodged amended prescribed information, signed by an

officer of the Branch, for an election due to insufficient nominations, for the following

offices:

Delegates to Council from the Accommodation Division (2)
Delegates to Council from the General Division (from the following (10)
sub-branches):
Albury (1)
Bankstown (1)
City Central (1)
East Central (1)
Eastern Suburbs (1)
Goulburn & District (1)
Illawarra (1)
Northern Suburbs (1)
Parramatta (1)
South Sydney (1)

[4]        On 22 December 2015 and 11 January 2016, the Branch also lodged with the

Commission the prescribed information in relation to a casual vacancy election, for the

remainder of the term, for the following office:

Delegate to Council from the General Division (from the following (1)
sub-branch): 
Wagga & District (1)

[5]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
