Australian Grands Prix (Formula One) Amendment Regulations 2018

The Lieutenant-Governor with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Australian Grands Prix (Formula One) Regulations 2016 to replace a reference to "segway" as a prohibited item with a reference to "electric personal transporter".

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 51 of the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 7 March 2018.

4Definitions

(1)In regulation 5 of the Australian Grands Prix (Formula One) Regulations 2016[1] insert the following definition—

"electric personal transporter has the same meaning as in the Dictionary to the Road Safety Road Rules 2017;".

(2)In regulation 5 of the Australian Grands Prix (Formula One) Regulations 2016, in paragraph (o) of the definition of prohibited item for "segway" substitute "electric personal transporter".
