I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice
of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under
the

1.1 The Australian Federal Police Regulations arc amended as set out in these Regulations.
2.1 Subregulation 14 (2);
Omit the subregulation, substitute:
“(2) On being appointed as a member, a person is on probation for a period of 12 months unless the Commissioner, in the particular case, directs that the period of probation be reduced or waived.”.
2.2 Subregulation 14 (2aa):
Omit the subregulation, substitute:
“(2aa) On being appointed as a staff member, a person is on probation for a period of 6 months unless the Commissioner, in the particular case, directs that the period of probation be reduced or waived.”.

3.1 Paragraph 18a (6) (f);
Omit the paragraph, substitute:
“(f) any other factors that are relevant to the performance of those duties.”.
4.1 Subregulation 18b (3):
Omit
all the words from and including “
“
(a) sets out the terms of the direction or otherwise shows:”.
4.2 Paragraph 18b (3) (b):
Omit “that” (first occurring).
5.1 Paragraph 26 (1) (a):
After “rank”, insert “or level”.
5.2 Subparagraph 26 (2) (b) (i):
After “rank”, insert “or level”.
6.1 Subregulation 33 (5):
After “Commissioner must”, insert “, in writing,”.
7.1 Part 1:
After item 16, insert:
“16a. Civil Aviation Authority”.
7.2 Part 2:
