Australian Federal Police (Discipline) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Federal Police Act 1979.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Australian Federal Police (Discipline) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48]

2.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

2.1   Subregulation 2 (1) (definition of “association”):

Omit the definition.

2.2   Subregulation 2 (1) (definition of “commissioned officer”):

Omit the definition, substitute:

“ ‘commissioned officer’ means a commissioned police officer referred to in paragraph 6 (2) (c) or (d) of the Act;”.

3.   Regulation 11 (Members or staff members not to drink or take drugs or be on licensed premises etc.)

3.1   Subregulation 11 (4):

Omit “sub-regulation (1)”, substitute “subregulations (1) and (1A)”.

4.   Regulation 18 (Disciplinary offences)

4.1   Subregulation 18 (1):

Omit “if the member—”, substitute “if the member or staff member:”.

4.2   Paragraph 18 (1) (h):

Omit “member.”, substitute“member or staff member.”.
