(E2016/85)
MR ENRIGHT MELBOURNE, 12 APRIL 2016
Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 18 February 2016, the Tasmania Branch of the Australian Education Union lodged

with the Fair Work Commission (the Commission) prescribed information in relation to

insufficient nominations received at a previous election (E2015/171, [2015] FWCD 4880).

[2]        Following discussion with staff of the Commission amended prescribed information

was lodged on 17 and 24 March 2016. The prescribed information was for the following

[3]        The prescribed information, in accordance with the rules as they stood on 24 March

2016, requested a TAFE Division Executive Representative from the Community Knowledge

Network. On 7 April 2016, I certified alterations to the rules of the Tasmanian Branch of the

Australian Education Union which renamed the TAFE Division Executive Representative

from the Community Knowledge Network members as the TAFE Division Executive

Representative from the LINC members (2016 FWCD 1218). Accordingly the list of

requested officers above reflects the renamed office.

[4]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
