Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 1 October 2014, the Australian Community Services Employers Association,

Union of Employers (the organisation) lodged with the Fair Work Commission (the

Commission) the prescribed information in relation to an election for the following offices:

President	(1)
Vice-President	(1)
Secretary	(1)
Treasurer	(1)
Board Member	(2)

[2]        On 1 October 2014, the Commission wrote to the abovenamed organisation to inform

it that a request for an extension of time to lodge the prescribed information would also have
to be made.

[3]        On 20 October 2014, the Commission again wrote to the abovenamed organisation

requesting it lodge an application for an extension of time to lodge the prescribed information.

[4]        On 20 October 2014, the abovenamed organisation lodged a written request for an

extension of time to lodge the prescribed information, stating that the need for the election
had been overlooked.

[5]        I allow for the extension of time up until 1 October 2014 to lodge the prescribed

information.

[6]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
